s it offen happens in our country, some foreigners were the first to notice S.Sokolvskay's talented works. Once a tourist from Finland visited Nizhny Novgorod Trade Fair. There at the exhibition he saw Svetlana's needlework 'A Couple in Love'. He was carried away by it. The picture is in one of the private collections in Finland now. Then there were other numerous proposals to co-operate. They were from USA, Spain, Italy, etc. But Svetlana Sokolovskaya isn't eager to part with her needleworks. They are too dear to her heart with all the reminicences of her life.
    Svetlana's picture 'Spring Lilac' was given as a present to the Great Princess Leonida. One could hardly find anything better for the Princess leaving Nizhny Novgorod than the bouguet of flowers on the picture with the fragrance of Russian field.
